Guiding students to good TOK essays
Overview
The 'Guiding students to good TOK essays' workshop is run by Triple A Learning in close association with the IB and is open to both new and experienced teachers of TOK.
The time commitment required is around 6 - 8 hours per week.

Workshop time commitment will depend on the level of engagement from the participants, however it is expected to be around 4-6 hours per week in the case of a standard length workshop or 8-12 hours per week for a condensed workshop.
Registrations can be submitted up to 14 days (GMT +2.00) prior to the workshop start date. Any cancellation occurring 14 days or more prior to the first day of the workshop will receive credit for the full amount of the registration fee. Outline
The contents of these modules should include:
Module 1: Expectations of the TOK Essay
* the evaluation criteria, in harmony with the course
* the IB titles: What is the examiner looking for?
Module 2: Guiding the Student’s TOK Essay
* giving advice and support
* giving appropriate preparation for writing
Module 3: Placing the Essay within the TOK course
* making the essay integral, not an add-on
* timing within the course, within school schedules
* giving a predicted mark
Note that this workshop is fully recognised as part of a school's programme evaluation process.
